Pastors
Earl and Catherine Ellis, co-founders of Titus Precepts Ministry, Inc. and Titus Precepts Soul Care Church, have been involved in the work
of the ministry in a number of ways over the past three decades. Both Earl and Catherine served for
nine years on the staff of All Nations Community Church in Homewood Illinois through April of 2006.
Earl, during his nine years of service
at ANCC, held positions initially as Business Administrator and eventually as Pastoral Head of Men's Ministries,
Ushers, Greeters and Security. As part of the Spiritual Leadership Team that was temporarily in place during the absence
of a senior pastor, Earl, his wife and three other husband and wife teams were assigned responsibility for Church
Ministry Oversight and the preaching of Sunday services.
Earl studied Theology at the South Suburban Campus of Christian
Life College of Mount Prospect Illinois as well as having attended numerous Biblical seminars, Bible studies, ministry
classes and conferences on a wide range of Biblical and Theological subjects over the past thirty years.
He taught many discipleship classes
during his service at ANCC, co-taught the Book of Ephesians with Catherine, and spoke often in the Men's Ministry meetings.
He is a wise and balanced expositor of the Word of God.
He counseled many church members on handling their finances God's way. In addition, he taught
several series on Finances. He is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Earl, in addition to his pastoral responsibilities,
has been the volunteer chaplain for Oasis Hospice and Palliative Care in the Chicago Metropolitan area for the past six years.
Before coming to Illinois, Earl served as Consultant and eventually Business
Administrator for the First Church of God on Collingwood Blvd in Toledo Ohio.
Earl began his professional business career in
retail management. He served in several management capacities during his 27 years of service, including store
management for Sears, Roebuck and Company and the former Dayton Hudson Marshall Fields Department Stores.
Earl graduated from the University
of Toledo (Ohio) and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1962. He completed the Infantry Officer's Course at Ft Benning,
Georgia. His first duty assignment was at Ft Ord, California where he served as a Training Officer, Battalion Operations
Officer and Administrative Officer at Post Headquarters. He is an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as
a Captain, with the assignments of Assistant Intelligence Officer and Psychological Operations Officer with the 196th
Light Infantry Brigade. He also served as Executive Officer, Headquarters Company and Battalion Operations Officer in Germany
and trained at the JFK Special Warfare Center in North Carolina during his active military service.
Earl and Catherine have been married for 61 years and have three married adult children,
nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
